Stonewall DFL General Membership Meeting

· Del called the meeting to order at 1300 (4/19 in HC Govt Center Lower Level Auditorium)
· Dyna read the Affirmative Action statement
· Margaret Anderson Kelliher spoke
· Joe Mullery spoke & took questions regarding GLBT issues before the legislature
· Susan Gaertner spoke took questions regarding RNC issues
· Scott Dibble spoke
· Carol Becker spoke & took questions regarding tax policy
· John Quincy spoke

Officer Reports:
· Del - chair
· Mary - assoc chair
· none - secretary
· Andy - treasurer...Tim moved approval, Al 2nd, passed unanimously
· Dyna - aao
· Al - director, spoke about political support committee
· Paul - director, spoke about leaving the board & moving to Atlanta
· Laurie Crelly & Megan Thomas were co-honorees of the Alan Spear award...both spoke

· Del proposed amendments to the Constitution:
discussion ensued...suggestions regarding offering honorary members to endorsed elected officials...variation in at-large directors to be in even increments & newly elected members term to begin at end of meeting (perhaps 7 days later)...gender inclusion...constitution committee wants the board to add committee info into the bylaws to replace constitutional language that is being removed

· David moved to approve constitutional changes as amended, 2nd by Tom...passed unanimously
· Megan moved that "no case shall the board be more than 2/3 of the same gender identification"...2nd by Paul...passed unanimously
· Paul moved to change "6 to 12", to "6, 8, 10, or 12 at-large directors, as decided at the general membership meeting", 2nd by Tom...motion fails
· Erick moved to add "positions as decided at the general membership meeting", 2nd by David...passed unanimously

Officer Elections:
· Del Jenkins - Chair...elected unanimously
· Mary Doran - Assoc Chair...elected unanimously
· Tom Sullivan - Secretary...elected unanimously
· Andy Hauer - Treasurer...elected unanimously
· Dyna Slyuter - AAO...elected unanimously

· Tom moved to open 12 at-large director positions, 2nd by David...passed unanimously

Director Elections:
· Vivian Klauber
· Erick Crail
· Matt Sampson
· Tim Bonham
· Megan Thomas
· Michael Abdou
· Al Oertwig
· Mandy Tempel
· Jerry Charles
· David DeGrio
· Leo Tibesar
all were elected unanimously...due to newly passed constitutional amendments, the remaining unfilled director position MUST be filled by a "non-male"

· Megan moved a resolution supporting independent park & BofE&T boards - passed unanimously
· Megan moved buying & sending a card to Jan Rein - passed unanimously
· announcements were made
· 30 seconds of silence to recognize members who have passed in the last 12 months including Allan Spear, Mike Ranniger and Christopher Hassett
· Megan moved to adjourn, 2nd by Dyna...passed unanimously at 1600
